Kenneth W. Tittle, D.D.S., M.S.
Pleasant Hill Endodontist

Pleasant Hill Endodontist Dr. Kenneth TittleKen Tittle was born and raised in Martinez, CA. where he was a competitive swimmer and a member of the high school marching and Jazz bands. He graduated from Alhambra High School in 1981. He then attended The University of California at Santa Barbara where in1985 he received a B.S. in Biopsychology and continued his swimming career. Ken began his dental training at The University of the Pacific School of Dentistry located in San Francisco where he met his future wife and classmate Konni Kawata. Ken graduated in 1989, earning admission to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honors Society (the Phi Beta Kappa of dentistry) then completed a one-year general practice residency in southern California at the Long Beach Veterans Hospital.

Ken and Konni were married in July of 1990 and then moved to Pleasant Hill, CA where Ken began practice with his father, Dr. David Tittle. Ken worked with his father practicing general dentistry for three years, learning many aspects of what it takes to care for patients and earn their trust.

Ken and Konni then moved back to Southern California where Ken began a two-year residency to specialize in endodontics (root canals) at Loma Linda University. Ken enjoyed his residency at Loma Linda. He was actively involved in researching bone growth factors and helping to test a new material developed at Loma Linda which is now the material of choice for certain aspects of endodontics. In addition to receiving his certificate in endodontics, he also completed a masters of Science degree in endodontics.

In June of 1995, Ken and Konni moved back to Pleasant Hill to start his endodontic practice in its’ present location at 401 Gregory Lane. The practice has grown steadily over the past eleven years and now Ken is happy to have Dr. Joanne Jensen working with him. Ken has always been diligent about keeping the practice “state of the art” and is proud of the ideals of patient care it is known for.

Ken is on the faculty at UOP School of Dentistry and periodically gives lectures to professional groups on various aspects of Endodontics. In April of 2003, Ken was rewarded for his dedication to his profession by being inducted as a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. This process took Ken seven years and requires passing a written examination, presenting a variety of cases demonstrating technical expertise in endodontics, and passing an oral examination. Ken is also a fellow of the American College of Dentists

When Ken is not spending time on his profession, he enjoys time with his wife and their three children. He keeps involved in his children’s activities by being president of their recreational swim team, coaching basketball teams, and running swim meets. Ken also enjoys staying active by swimming and playing basketball, but Ken’s favorite avocation is fishing.
